Dare the Dark with the Headless Nun

One of the most famous pieces of folklore to haunt the banks of the Miramichi River is that of the Headless Nun.

Sister Marie Inconnu, a French missionary stationed at French Fort Cove, was the protector of a very valuable treasure. This treasure, it is said, was one that cost her life. Sister Marie Inconnu was beheaded by fellow settlers and her treasure was stolen. Legend says her treasure has never left French Fort Cove... nor has her head.

As the story goes, anyone who enters French Fort Cove in search of her fabled treasure is haunted by the ghost of the Headless Nun. Surviving an encounter with the Headless Nun is just the beginning, as she has been known to follow and haunt survivors until their last days.

Miramichi Landings and the Heritage Players present a gripping retelling of this infamous story as guests are led through the depths of French Fort Cove, where fear and adrenaline quench the undying thirst of the Headless Nun.

What will you find along your journey? Who will you meet? Will you survive?

Are you brave enough to Dare the Dark with the Headless Nun? Test yourself Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from July 4 - August 26 at 9pm at French Fort Cove. Call 1-866-990-9490 for more information and to book your tickets... if you dare...
